A high-profile, New York City-based advertising firm has been tapped by a group called “PFT Fails” to provide counter-protesters for Thursday’s demonstration against the School Reform Commission’s decision to cancel teacher contracts, The Declaration has learned.

Screenshots sent to us indicate a solicitation was posted this afternoon in a private Facebook group called “Brand Ambassadors of Philadelphia”:

The individual who emailed these screenshots, speaking on condition of anonymity, told The Declaration that the counter-demonstration will be the first salvo launched as part of a new campaign against the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers. “PFT Fails” will also be launching a website “promoting how the union has failed the teachers,” according to the source.

The company hired by PFT Fails, GoGorilla Media, boasts a roster of clients including Google, McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Comcast, and many more.
