Newly-elected Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane unilaterally closed a loophole this afternoon that allowed gun owners with Florida permits to carry in our state, reports City Paper.

More tragic news in our city’s gun crisis: According to Gun Crisis News, at least 17 people were fatally shot in January, and over 50 wounded. “The oldest victim we recorded was a 56-year-old man who was shot in the head during a home invasion,” and the average age of Philadelphia gun victims was 28.
