The City of Philadelphia has rescinded its previous restrictions on marches in Center City during the DNC. The Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign recently sued the City, arguing that the ban on marching during rush hour in Center City was a violation of the First Amendment. PPEHRC now has a permit to march down Broad Street, as they did during the 2000 Republican National Convention in Philadelphia.
