Philly man used credit card numbers stolen by Russian hackers for fraudulent transactions in Lansdale

By Michael Goldberg at The Reporter Online – A Philadelphia man is behind bars in Montgomery County after allegedly committing credit card fraud in Lansdale over a period of more than a year, using account numbers federal authorities said he likely obtained from overseas computer hackers, according to Lansdale police.

Wicky Monvil, 23, of the 1400 block of Kerper Street, was taken into custody and arraigned Dec. 20 before District Judge James Gallagher of Bridgeport on 180 felony and misdemeanor criminal counts — including 40 counts each of forgery and theft, and 20 counts each of identity theft, access device fraud, receiving stolen property, criminal use of a communication facility and securing execution of documents by deception.
