On Thursday evening, several hundred gathered in LOVE park for a “National Moment of Silence” to honor and remember victims of police violence against people of color. The nationwide event, which according to the decentralized network of organizers took place in over 90 U.S. cities, was spurred by the murder of 18 year old Ferguson, Missouri teenager Michael Brown, who was shot multiple times by police officer Darren Wilson last Saturday. Brown was set to start college on August 11th. The Declaration will following all developments in Philadelphia related to this story.
