CBS Philly reports that a new bike-sharing program is expected to debut in early 2015. The city is currently receiving feedback from residents on potential locations for bike stations.
The Mayor’s Office of Transportation and Utilities’ Cara Ferrentino told community members in Fairmount last night:
“The way bike share works — it’s basically a network of public bicycles, you can go to one station, pick up a bike, take a trip, drop off the bike to any station.”
Justin Udo reports that there are over 100 proposed locations, but that the city will have 60 confirmed stations when the program officially begins.
